- Preheat oven, 190c / 170c fan/ gas 5.

- In a frying pan melt 1 oz butter, add breadcrumbs and fry gently until golden brown, put to one side..

- Place 1 sheet of filo on a clean dry tea towel (keep the rest under a damp tea towel so they Don't dry out) brush with melted butter, place another sheet overlapping the first by half, brush with melted butter, carry on adding sheets, alternating, and brushing with melted butter until all sheets are used..
- Sprinkle breadcrumbs over filo..
- Place Apple mixture in a pile along the length of the pastry, about 1 inch from edge.
