- Prepare of Cake.
- It's 175 g of butter.
- You need 175 g of caster sugar.
- It's 3 of eggs.
- It's of zest of a lime.
- Prepare 1 tsp of vanilla essence.
- It's 225 g of self raising flour.
- You need 1 tbsp of milk.
- Prepare of Buttercream.
- Prepare 55 g of butter.
- Prepare of zest of a lime.
- It's 175 g of icing sugar.
- You need 2 tbsp of milk.
- Prepare of Toppings.

- Preheat the oven to 150°C fan.
- Cream butter and caster sugar together.
- Beat in 1 egg at a time.
- Add the grated zest of a lime and vanilla essence.
- Sift in flour and beat, add a little milk until the mix is loose enough it falls from the spoon.
- Place in a loaf tin and bake for 55minutes in preheated oven.
- Cream butter and grated lime zest together.
- Mix in sifted icing sugar and milk until a smooth consistency and leave in the fridge to stiffen whilst the cake cools.
- Divide the icing into two separate bowls and in half add some diced strawberries, cut the cake in half and place this on the bottom layer.
- Spread the remaining icing on the top of the top half and some sliced strawberries before placing it on the bottom half.
